Search Engine Technology

When users access a mobile website developed by GaPS In-Motion, the mobile phone is pinpointed using GPS and its location associated with content in their immediate vicinity. Search results are displayed using icons on a map.

Two types of searches are possible:

Local search:

Users can perform searches in their immediate surroundings (100 to 1000m radius)

Remote search:

Users can perform searches in remote areas either by city name or station name. This is useful if the user is moving from one area to the next, allowing searches to be performed before arriving at the next location.
